What Is A Peptide?

Peptides are amino acid chains that are too short to be called a “protein.”

Proteins are amino acid chains that have at least 50 amino acids in them. Peptides generally have a simpler structure, and are between 2–50 amino acids.

There are thousands of peptides. Some do 1-2 things well, and some do many things really well. The goal of peptides though is to help your body fight aging. Some peptides help restore HGH levels, some help you lose weight, some help you get more out of your workouts, and some help you recover quicker afterwards.

Which of the peptides does K2 Holistic Health make available for its patients?

While there are many peptides that have been thoroughly studied, we’ve found that these peptides and blends have proven effective for a number of patients.

GLP-1 S: 15% weight loss. Semaglutide uses GLP-1 receptors to lose weight and lower glucose.

GLP-1 T: even more weight loss and decreased glucose. Tirzepatide uses the same GLP-1 but adds GIP.

GLP-1 R: maximum weight  loss and decreased glucose. Combines the same GLP-1 and GIP, but adds glucagon. Increases insulin sensitivity, helps protect muscle and bone density.

Ipamorelin: a mild HGH peptide using GHRP, good results and doesn’t increase appetite.

Sermorelin: a more aggressive HGH peptide using GHRH, better results but increases appetite.

CJC 1295/Ipamorelin: best results, a combination of both GHRP and GHRH.

Tesamorelin/Ipamorelin: best results, another combination of both GHRP and GHRH.

At each consultation a clinician will discuss your health and any issues you’re dealing with, additionally we do a blood panel that looks at your current hormone/peptide levels. Once the tests are completed, we will discuss the results and make recommendations based on the findings.

Once a therapy plan has been decided upon, all peptide orders can be placed through our clinic. Generally injectable peptides are in-stock and oral peptides will be ordered from our supplier in Omaha and delivered to our Lincoln or Omaha locations.

Injectable peptides come in powder form and will need to be reconstituted with bacteriostatic water, we can do this in the clinic or train you to do it at home. Injections can be done at home or at our clinics.

Any peptides ordered by Omaha patients can be picked up at Iron Heaven Gym Saturday mornings 8am-1pm, where our staff will be there to meet you and explain how to use the peptide you have, or to answer any questions.
